Iran, Hassan cherishes his cow more

world. While he is away, the cow mysteriously dies, and the
villagers
- protectively try to convince Hassan the cow has
wandered off. Grief stricken, Hassan begins
- to believe he is
his own beloved bovine. The Cow won great acclaim
at the Venice Film
- Festival after being smuggled out of Iran
in 1971, and was twice voted the best Iranian film

by a survey of Iranian film critics.

داستان:
در
غياب مش حسن
گاو او به
علت
نامعلومي
مي ميرد و
اهالي
روستا كه
تصور مي
كنند
بلوريها در
مرگ گاو دست
داشته اند
با موافقت
همسر مش حسن
لاشه گاو را
كنار استخر
روستا چال
مي كنند.
كدخدا و مش
اسلام به
اهالي
توصيه مي
كنند مرگ
گاو را از مش
حسن پنهان و
وانمود
كنند كه گاو
گريخته است.
پس از
بازگشت مش
حسن به
روستا او
باور نمي
كند كه گاوش
گريخته
باشد. بر اثر
فقدان گاو،
حال روحي مش
حسن دگرگون
مي شود و او
خود را گاو
مي پندارد.
مش اسلام و
كدخدا
تصميم مي
گيرند مش
حسن را براي
معالجه به
شهر ببرند،
اما در راه
بين راه
روستا و شهر
مش حسن از
دست آن ها مي
گريزد و در
دره اي سقوط
مي كند و مي
ميرد.
