A documentary film by Jamshid Golmakani - This documentary film highlights the
length to which the Iranian government officials go to make business and
economic deals with European countries. During the 1998 world cup which Iran
was one of the 32 soccer teams in France, Iranian officials (Mr. Hamidreza
Assefi) accompanies the soccer players to France to meet with meat packing
companies and makes deals with several companies there. A rare look at
politics and soccer in Iran. Most Iranians attribute the losses
of Iran's national soccer team in 2006 World Cup in Germany to the control
that government officials exercise on the Iran's soccer federation and their
coaches. A brave documentary film that highlights the issues that the
media and the press inside Iran do not dare to talk about. A must see film
for all Soccer fans!
