(DVD) The Portrait of Maryam, Iranian Painter Author / Director:  Jamshid Golmakani To play this video, download free        Maryam Hosseinzadeh, has painted since her childhood. Her paintings are a reflection of her life. They bear witness to Maryam’s past and to her viewpoint on Iran’s political, social and cultural life. Her husband, the writer and poet Mohammad Mokhtari, was assassinated in Autumn 1998 by Iranian Ministry of Intelligence agents. Since then, she has used her painting to take refuge and to pay homage to him. She likes to say, “I don’t cry, I paint!”   من گریه نمی کنم، نقاشی می کنم! مستند، 26 دقیقه  مریم حسین زاده، 48 ساله، از کودکی نقاشی می کند. او از علاقه آن دوره اش و نگاه نه چندان مثبت خانواده  و جامعه به نقاشی  می گوید. با محمد مختاری، شاعر و محقق ازدواج می کند. به این ترتیب هر دو هنرمند همراه می شوند. اندک اندک، متاثر از شرایط جامعه ایران، زن موضوع اکثر تابلوهایش می شود.  تصویرهای سیاه و سفید استفاده شده در فیلم و تابلوهایش به گفته های مریم بیشتر جان می دهد؛  یک زن هنرمند در ایران چه مسیرهای دشواری را باید بگذراند تا هنرش رشد کند. محمد مختاری، همسر مریم، به دست ماموران دولتی به قتل می رسد. پس ازاین اتفاق؛ مریم در مدت کوتاهی مجموعه ی بسیاری تابلو می کشد. ایستاده کنار تابلوهایش، با جمله ای پایانی می گوید: «من گریه نمی کنم، نقاشی می کنم» !   Format: DVD Runtime: 26 minutes Type:  Documentary / Social / Politics Language: In Farsi with no English subtitles Picture quality:   To Order: Click "Add to Cart", then continue shopping or click on "Checkout" button at the top to exit
